Irish Community Picnic is
This Sunday, July 29, Noon - 6 pm,
at Lake Sammamish State Park, Issaquah NOTE: Sunday's Weather Forecast is for the low 70s and Sunny!
All members and guests of Seattle's Irish community are invited to attend and all are very welcome. The Parks' Kitchen Shelter Picnic Area has been reserved from Noon until Dusk in the name of the Irish Heritage Club.
Hot-dogs and hamburgers will be provided for free, but please bring any other types of food you want, main dishes, side dishes, etc., along with your own beverages and a potluck dessert. Alcoholic beverages are permitted in the picnic area. There are several BBQ grills (do bring charcoal!), about 20 picnic tables, and parking in our reserved area for 50-60 cars.
The SEATTLE GAELS Hurling game starts at 1 PM on one of the soccer fields, followed by Men's and Women's Gaelic Football games. Simultaneously, kids can also try their hand playing Hurling, Camogie and Gaelic Football. By 3:30 pm or so, we'll have started other games - tug-o-war, sack-races, 3-legged races, straw search, water balloon toss, etc. - its going to be fun for the whole family.

Lake Sammamish State Park is 15 miles east from downtown Seattle, on the north side of I-90, 1/2 mile NW of Exit # 15. The Kitchen Shelter Picnic Area has been reserved in the name of the Irish Heritage Club.
