Seattle Galway 2012 Trip
SUNDAY - WEDNESDAY
SEPTEMBER 2 - 5
On Sunday, September 2, we will leave Dublin for Galway where we will spend another three days participating in 30th Anniversary Sister City activities. We will have all arrangements finalized early in 2012.
Galway and Seattle formalized their Sister City relationship in 1986 but the first official contact between the two cities was in September 1982 when Seattle's Deputy Mayor Tom Keefe led a group of Seattleites to Ireland to select an Irish Sister City for Seattle. Officials in Galway are working to schedule Sister City activities for our visit, and we are working on a transportation and land package for the trip to Galway. While we plan to finalize those details early in 2012, do feel free to make your own transportation and land arrangements for Galway and other parts of Ireland. However, you are welcome to join us in Galway on September 3 - 5, 2012, for whatever Seattle-Galway Sister City activities are arranged.
For more details, email Info@SeattleIreland2012.info.
