Irish Community Picnic

 All members of Seattle's Irish community are invited to attend, but make sure to print and use this Free Parking Pass to avoid the State Park's $10 car fee.
 
Picnic Pass 
 

ALL ARE WELCOME AT NO CHARGE!

Hot-dogs and hamburgers will be provided for free, but please bring any other types of food you want (incl. side dishes, etc.), along with your own beverages and a potluck dessert. Alcoholic beverages are permitted in the picnic area. There are several BBQ grills (bring charcoal), about 20 picnic tables, and parking in our reserved area for 50-60 cars. The SEATTLE GAELS Hurling game starts at 1 PM on one of the soccer fields, followed by live music, other games for young and old - tug-o-war, sack-races, straw search, water balloon toss, etc. - fun for the whole family.

Jug of Punch
Following the 1 pm Hurling game, at around 2 pm, live Irish Music will be provided on fiddle, guitar and tin whistle by Jamie Marshall and fellow musicians in the JUG OF PUNCH, the Celtic band from Tacoma that has performed at past Irish Festivals at the Seattle Center.

 

Picnic Area
Lake Sammamish State Park is 15 miles east from downtown Seattle,
on the north side of I-90, 1/2 mile NW of Exit # 15. The Kitchen Shelter Picnic Area has been reserved in the name of the Irish Heritage Club.
