In this issue, we have a guest column from a wonderful coach and writer, Sue Elliot, of Loving Myself.com. Check it out!
We have a young celebrity in our midst here in small town Titusville, Florida. Arcadian Broad, 12 years old, is an amazingly proficient dancer AND pianist. I was talking the other day to his dad, Kevin, and he told me neither he nor his wife have any musical talent! They have watched in amazment their son blossomed into a first rate artist. On September 1st, at 9 p.m. EST, Arcadian will be on America's Got Talent as a finalist. You've got to see this brilliant young man. Mark your calendars, he is going places! He is an example of what can happen when you follow your heart.
Hang with us, join our Tribe and do let us hear from you!
Prosperously Yours,

Your Questions & Stories |
This section is for you. Ask your
own questions: about money, your relationship to money, your worries, concerns, self-improvement obstacles, or just your desire to know more. We also would love to hear your success stories, your accomplishments and new goals. This is a good place to state your intentions. We'll support you!
Email your questions here.
Question: I have a question for you that I can't seem to answer because I am "in" it. I feel like I've had a great relationship with money and haven't worried about it. But, suddenly my spouse has run into trouble at work, and has had a wage cut.
I find myself wanting to freeze, no money going out, no to the usual charities, staying home all the time. This situation is indefinite. I am feeling scared financially for the first time in a long time. How do I get that back? I am not feeling in control anymore.
Signed,
Answer: I'm glad you asked this question because it is a common question today. There is a two-part answer to this.
The fear comes from the perception that this could go on a long time, does it not? We are prone to this kind of fear and can build quite a feeling of angst. And though we aren't in physical pain, it does cause pain. But life isn't stationary, unyielding and unchangeable; it is a flowing and dynamic unfolding of our story, and can always change direction at any given time. It is up to you. By living in the "fact" of a reduced income you've accepted the story of no solution to recovering or increasing your family income. What this does is effectively prevent your observations and ideas to change the situation. Doors are all around you. For both of you there are unlimited opportunities that a worried mind cannot see.
And there is a paradox--by meeting the current challenge with courage and eagerness you can move through this challenge with not only a great sense of accomplishment, but ease. At the same time be open to what can be, knowing the temporary nature of any situation in life. Believe in your abundance now, while playing the recession game.
Take it head-on. Go through your bills and trim everywhere you can. Make it a family project, a game--all the while knowing this is a small chapter the scope of your whole lifetime. I've been there more than once, so what I am telling you is true.
With this attitude, be open to all possibilities for additional income. They are all around you, large and small. A small idea could be as simple as having a yard sale or as big as a new career idea with greater income opportunity. And after a few small steps you'll get your mind "unstuck" so the solutions will begin to flow. One way to get ideas flowing is to keep a small notebook with you and jot down every idea no matter how crazy it sounds, because by allowing these ideas to flow, the mind does something miraculous; it keeps reaching deeper for more ideas. This is how great innovators and thinkers produce such amazing results. They don't accept what is, they rise to the challenge, and see what could be.
Seeking experts in fields such as financial planning and coaching can be a great help to steer you on a positive path to success. Let us know how it goes and how we can support you!

Why is Self-Love So Important? |
Why is self-love so important? Because there's an epidemic in this country: an epidemic of unworthiness. People keep thinking things like: I'm not good enough. I'm not smart enough. I'm not pretty enough. I'm not strong enough. I'm not financially secure enough. I'm not kind enough. I'm not tough enough. I'm not a good enough father or mother or daughter or sister. I'm not a good enough friend. I'm not a good enough wife or husband. I'm not a good enough boss or employee. Whatever it is we do, a whole lot of us feel we just don't do it well enough. Now, we may not feel that way about everything. But rare is the person who doesn't feel that way about some things. Maybe your unworthiness issues are minor. Maybe you think things like: I don't sing well. I don't dance well. I don't cook well. I don't play golf well. I don't swim well. I don't type well. I don't write well. I don't dress well. Well, guess what. Wherever you are right now, however you're doing whatever it is you're doing, you're just fine. Just the way you are. You are good enough. I am good enough. We can all let go of this whip we've been beating ourselves with. We can let go of the negative voices in our heads. We can let go of our insecurities and neuroses. We can do it quickly. Or we can do it slowly. But the bottom line is: We can do it. We can. And we deserve to. The only people any of us has ever hurt with these thoughts and fears and inhibitions and negative self-talk is ourselves. And it's time, right now, to start being kinder to ourselves. It's time to start treating ourselves like a sweet little baby or an adorable puppy or a real friend. It's time to start loving ourselves. Because whatever we may think right now, we truly are lovable. You and me both. We are worthy. We deserve happiness. We deserve love. We deserve financial abundance. We deserve peace. And we deserve pleasure. Here's to a new path toward feeling deserving and worthy and filled with love. By Sue Elliott. Sue is a professional life coach who specializes in helping others find more clarity, happiness and love in their lives.

Removing Obstacles |
How you feel opening a jumbled, messy closet or a crammed full drawer? In the ancient oriental art of Feng Shui, clutter is an obstacle to the natural flow of energy that is all around us. Upon clearing a home of all the energy-draining clutter people universally notice a new lightness of being, an openness that clears the mind as well as the personal space.
You may want to spend a weekend or two going through your possessions and deciding what you don't need, what may be draining your energy just to look at and move around, and what makes you feel happy. We can surround ourselves at home and at work with the things that we absolutely love. Things that remind us of a loved one, that have beauty and colors that enliven us, things that speak of our passions and create an ease. This is so good for us.
Let's eliminate--give away or throw away items like that ugly ceramic pot that you've been keeping only because it was a gift and you thought you should keep it. Get rid of things that remind you of past unpleasantness. When looking at them you can feel your mood drop a bit--and the farther you drop in mood, the less effective you will be while working on your projects, solving problems, and dealing with other people. When you are in that happy flow of energy you get things done much easier, and solutions have a clear path to you!
Rid your home of all the items you never use! Have a garage sale! It is amazing what we hang on to in our physical reality just like those negative beliefs.
And as we embrace those thoughts that speak of positive, prosperous living like a welcome cool breeze on a hot day, we want to multiply the cherished joyful things in our lives. Surround yourself with an abundance of beauty.
In the upcoming issues we will delve with more detail into these ideas. The answer will always lie within you, and it is all about bringing out your own creativity, brilliance and gifts so we will all benefit! |

| Retirement Planning Tip |
 |
|
Make sure you are contributing the maximum amount, if possible, to your 401k. Many people reduced their contributions due to poor market conditions. If you are going to work for several more years, you can withstand the temporary declines in the markets. And remember, short term moves in the markets are not a reason to change your long-term strategies. Call us if you want a advice.
