5 DAYS of Raga and Songs with Rajeswar:
NOVEMBER 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th
See and hear Rajeswar teach here: Teaching Malgosh Raga. There is also ONE MORE MONDAY EVENING class this Monday, November 1st in Hove.
This time next week you could be part of the fabulous 5 Day Raga Singing brighton workshop! (pictured above from a similar workshop a few years ago). We already have a nice group booked for the full 5 days, but for the first time, we are offering a slightly different structure:
EACH DAY of the workshop will be a COMPLETE experience, in that Rajeswar will focus on a different raga and song for each of the 5 days. This means that if you cannot attend the whole workshop, you can come for one day or several days, without feeling that you have missed some vital part of the course. Another exciting aspect is that we will be doing some really fabulous songs from Tagore's Chandalika, a beautiful Dance-Drama that we hope to perform next year in honour of the 150th anniversary of Tagore's birth (there are world-wide celebrations happening). So, be part of it!
COST: only £65 per day; Rajeswar travels over 5,000 miles to come and teach western students, so its is a real gift to have him 'on our doorstep'. He leaves for India immediately after the workshop. VENUE: Hove
SONG of the HEART with SUEKALI and JUDY Taster afternoon: November 13th in LEWES Weekend Workshop: November 26th(eve) - 28th
Also in November, we are offering an afternoon 'taster' Song of the Heart workshop in LEWES (East Sussex) on November 13th to inspire you to come to our wonderful Autumn Seasons of the Singing Heart weekend workshop (Nov 26th-28th). In this workshop, we focus on creating a nurturing sanctuary where we learn to sing from the heart, drawing on the tradition of Indian classical raga, but focusing on the resonance and relaxed and fluid approach rather than on technical details. We combine this with gentle yet profound exercises from First Nature together with songs from our own traditions, poetry, and connection with nature. A really nourishing and inspiring weekend!  Costs: taster afternoon, special 'sliding scale' of £15-£35. Venue: LEWES Seasons of the Singing Heart weekend (fri eve - Sun) £135. Venue: HOVE
