Gonzalo FloresDear Friends,

Happy Thanksgiving!  I love the transition from autumn to winter.  As the weather becomes cold and crisp, I love to bundle up with a warm cup of tea.  Just as plants are focusing their energy on their roots, winter is a time for inner reflection.  One of my old meditation teachers used to tell me that "when the light on the outside begins to grow dimmer, the light on the inside needs to grow brighter." That was over 30 years ago.  I can still here those words to this day.

Acupuncture is recommended with every seasonal change to help us adjust to environmental changes.  If you haven't adjusted, then you may find yourself with a cold, flu, stiff joints, or a cranky and tired demeanor as seen with seasonal depression.
I would like to recommend some suggestions to make your transition into winter smooth and easy.  Click on the link below for recommendations of herbs that may already be in your medicine cabinet.  If you don't have these remedies, you can get them at the clinic. A pulse and tongue diagnosis is essential for effective herbal prescription, but if you're not able to get to the clinic the first day your cold arrives, we want you to have a head start
If you treat your cold immediately, you can prevent it from going deeper into the body.

Reflexology Research and Employee Incentives
Joanna FloresStarting December 1st, we will be leveling the earth outside our PediStone treatment area for our parking lot and outdoor cobblestone path.  I have been promising this path for 2 years, but our permit process has been quite "rocky".  The Oregon Research link below describes the study on cobblestone walking and how it reduces blood pressure.

Also, click on the Reflexology in the Workplace link to see how reflexology prevents illness.  We can customize a program for your company to keep your employees healthy, happy, and more productive.  They will love you for it and stay with you forever!  Please reply to this email if you're interested in creating an incentive or wellness program for your staff.

Happy footing!

Rejuvalife information
When I first met Gonzo, he was teaching QiGong with Northwest Cancer Specialists.  He showed me how to differentiate cancer Qi from a person's healthy Qi.  After that day, I no longer microwaved food in tupperware (plastic leaches into the food), and I bought our first share with a local CSA farm.  Even then, I didn't realize my entire bathroom cabinet was filled with petroleum products and preservatives.  I thought I was doing myself a favor buying Neutrogena or Nordstrom products such as Lancome or Estee Lauder.  Thank goodness I realized my mistake.  We all work so hard to keep our insides healthy, but if we put unsafe parabens and other additives on our skin, it's like smearing gasoline into our pores.  Gonzo and I chose YonKa from France, and HABA and HONSO from Japan because both countries have higher safety standards than the US. The Qi feels great in all 3 product lines, so we hope your Qi can thrive as well.

UV Cut Milk is to be applied underneath the mineral makeup or alone as a suncreen.  HABA mineral makeup is composed of crushed rock, but the particles are large enough that they won't get absorbed into the skin.  The particles sit on top of the skin which keeps you purely you.  Products from other companies are dangerously small they get absorbed into the skin, which causes breakouts, and problems with impetigo, rosacea, and acne.  As HABA has no additives, it is a great choice for even the most sensitive skin.

Free makeup case when you purchase 3 eyeshadows and 1 blush.  We will also give you a free lipstick case when you purchase 1 lipstick.  One lipstick case and/or one makeup case per client, please.  The first 20 people to spend $20 receive a free gift!

HABA is dedicated to planet-friendly packaging and cases.  The eye shadows, blushes and lipsticks fit into a reusable casing.  HABA's clear outer plastic packaging is #1 recyclable, too.  To recycle plastics, try Far West Fibers.
