In May 2011, Benny Levin (Vice-Chair) and Taly Dunevich (US Director) of IVN were guests-of-honor at the Israeli Consul General's homes in Boston, NYC and Toronto at events coordinated through the Israeli Consulate to spread knowledge of IVN's investment model to the global Jewish population. IVN spoke about social entrepreneurship and its impact on driving social change for underserved populations in Israeli society

Over the course of the events, more than 100 North American entrepreneurs/Israeli investors met with Benny Levin to hear about IVN's and ways that the international community can help to continue to grow the organization and its impact on Israeli society.
IVN's Social Venture Program, comprised of mentoring, capacity building, and financial investment, builds on the particular business-orientation of IVN's membership. IVN partners with social entrepreneurs who are developing innovative approaches to challenges in education, economy and the environment. Using knowledge and a depth of expertise from leading entrepreneurs in Israel and North America, IVN is investing in human capital to help sustain and grow social projects. These investments are targeting communities that can benefit from an educational/business mentoring program that will help drive social good to larger underserved populations.

IVN Chosen to be Formal Representative of Israel's Tri-Sectorial Roundtable

Round table

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the 3 roundtable co-chairs at a meeting in March 2011

Last April, IVN was chosen as a formal representative of the tri-sectorial

roundtable of the Prime Minister of Israel, which is a partnership between the public, private and non-profit sectors.

The tri-sectorial round table was established in February 2008 following a government decision. Its purpose is to strengthen cooperation and establish relations between the three sectors, increase civil society organizations' involvement in the provision of social services and facilitate processes of empowerment, professionalism, improved monitoring, and greater transparency in civil society. The round table consists of 36 participants representing government, public and civil society sectors.

IVN is honored to have been chosen and we welcome the opportunity to become a major player in the social enterprise business arena of Israel.

IVN Holds its First Mentors Workshop

Workshop

Dr. Amir Kfir leading IVN's first Mentors Workshop

Last month, IVN held a day-long, hands-on IVN Mentors Workshop, led by Dr. Amir Kfir. Dr. Kfir is the founder of Amirror - a consultancy group that works with leaders and organizations on how to manage growth, business development and performance, in an ever-changing business environment.

This, the first in a series of workshops, is to further improve the effectiveness of our mentors.

Sixteen mentors took part in the workshop and spent the day honing their understanding of the IVN mentoring process, mentorship boundaries, and getting properly acquainted with tools that are available to them.

The participants finished the day excited and invigorated. The workshop provided valuable insights regarding how to further build and maintain a strong, durable and effective relationship with their mentees.
