Donahoo Road Project |
The Donahoo Road project (131st Street to 115th Street) will extend through the entire year of 2011 and will also have some restorative work extending construction into the first quarter of 2012. This means that road closures will be ongoing along Donahoo throughout the entire time.
In addition to the current project, KDOT and the UG will be contracting out the section to the west, (K-7 to 131st Street) in early 2011 with construction extending into 2012 and this section will be closed for work at that time. |
Shawnee Drive Street Closure |
The Shawnee Drive street closure has been cancelled due to a sanitary line collapse/failure that occurred on North 63rd Street between Parallel and Waverly. North 63rd Street will be closed on Monday November 29 at 9:00 am for the line replacement. It should reopen Friday, December 3rd at 5:00 pm. |
Road Construction |
Based on information provided by the Kansas Department of Transportation, the UG is able to provide motorist living in Wyandotte County with a list of roads and highways that are scheduled for construction.
This information can be useful to prepare individuals, commuting to and from work, with early warnings on minor delays. This also encourages drivers to use alternate routes due to lane and ramp closures.Visit the KDOT website for up to date information on lane and ramp closures:www.ksdot.org/kcmetro/laneclose.asp. |
