A "status conference" has been scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Monday, August 9 for Andrew Olaciregui, who is accused of murdering Chanel Larkin.  We believe the accused *may* be offering/accepting a plea agreement at this time.  The "status conference" is to be held in the courtroom of Judge Kevin Martins at the Milwaukee Safety Building (821 West State Street), Room 502.

Supporters are encouraged to wear a t-shirt with Chanel's picture or a FORGE "I am worth protecting" t-shirt.  Because the conference is scheduled for first thing on a Monday morning, we will likely have no opportunity to reach people should the conference be canceled or postponed; you can try to access the latest developments by going to http://wcca.wicourts.gov/index.xsl, agreeing to the site's terms, searching for the defendant's name (Andrew Olaciregui), clicking on his latest case (2010CF002300), and clicking on "view case details."

Community members will hold a brief meeting after the status conference has concluded.  The next formal Community Cares meeting has been scheduled for Sunday, August 29 at 2:00 p.m. at the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center.
