Greetings!
Mil gracias to all of you who shared the powerful energy we created together on that tumultuous Saturday night in November for our last Mayan fire ceremony of 2011.
We fully realized, 9 Iq (Wind) the force was with us that evening. I don't ever remember having such a challenge lighting the fire, nor reckoning with such strong gusts. Things are usually a bit calmer when we do these ceremonies in Central America!  | | 9 Iq fire starting |
As is my custom, the next morning I returned to the fire to tidy any loose ends. As I drove up to the site, I noticed the entire campus was enveloped in smoke. Oh, no, what havoc did we wreak? Never fear. Once closer to the circle, I realized that a controlled burn of the prairie was underway. The power that was created that night was still palpable. The design of the now-cold coals, a work of art. The colors of the flowers accenting the grey dirt and dim sky.
