| Stress! Are you feeling "stressed out" or "over stressed'? Having trouble sleeping or just functioning in a normal world? If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions you are not alone. We live in a culture that is "addicted" to stress. Everywhere you might turn you are being bombarded with situations and events that seem to push you over the edge into the world of stress. The encouraging news is that this does not have to happen. When one learns to identify when he or she crosses over the line into the dark world of stress and has created a tool box beforehand of ways to regain one's sanity then all of this will begin to change. There is no bigger issue facing our culture than that of stress. Making a commitment to practice a life free of stress will begin to make all the difference.

| The Five Leading Causes of Death in the United States It might come as no surprise that the leading cause of death in the United States is that of "Stress". Our stress button is nature's gift to us in order to alert us to any danger that might be present. Unfortunately, most of our danger is "imaginary" and the stress button seldom turns off. When this happens the affects of stress begin to gradually weaken our immune system and cause our bodies to break down. A surprise to most the second leading cause of death in the United States is that of "Western Medicine." While this might come as a shock the sad reality is that it is true. A system that proports to help people often does more harm than good. The five leading causes of death are as follows: 1. Stress 2. Western Medicine 3. Heart Disease 4. Cancer 5. Stroke

Fear of Relaxation Have you ever heard the expression, "Just Relax"? We all wish it were that easy. It seems that many people have made a commitment to stress and find it difficult to relax even if they wanted to. Many of us hold a belief that to be relaxed is to be "lazy". Laziness is equated with having been inhabited by the "devil". ("Sloth" is one of the 7 deadly sins in the Catholic tradition). Others were bombarded with the belief of the "Christian Work Ethic". This teaches that one needs to work himself to death and relaxation is akin to failure. Ever wonder why it is so difficult to relax?
