Greetings!
Spring has sprung, at least as much as it does in April in Montana, and we've got some clinics and trip specials to get you out and onto the water with more fishing success this April & May. First off we've got our Streamer Clinic coming up on Saturday and Sunday April 21st and 22nd. Then we've got our Nymphing Clinic on the 28th and 29th, and finally we'll offer a Spey Clinic on May 5th! If none of the clinics make sense for you then you can get in on our Spring Trip Special through April 30th with $300 Guided Trips - check the info below on everything for details!
With th e April Double Bunny Hatch in full swing it means that it's time for our 6th Annual Streamer Fishing Clinic. This year we've got the dates set for Saturday and Sunday April 21st and 22nd. The class is by far and away our most popular offering at Troutfitters as it's both fun and informative. The class focuses on everything from gear selection to flies to where streamer eaters hold in the river. The class includes on stream instruction as well as a short float trip with our guides to show you how to put it all together in a boat. The cost of the class is $150 and is limited to 6 anglers per session and includes lunch, beverages, transportation to and from the river as well as equipment rental if needed. Don't miss out on the chance to spend a day with Kris and the gang and learn the best way to catch big fish!
For the first time we're offering a Nymph Fishing Clinic at Montana Troutfitters and it's going to be taught by our newest and most energetic employee and guide Peter Holman. Peter brings with him decades of industry experience and guiding expertise as well as having taught classes along side of Mel Krieger. Peter will be hosting the clinic on Saturday and Sunday April 28th and 29th and the class will consist of everything from reading water, to mending, roll casting, adjusting your flies and indicator depth, and learning various different nymphing techniques. This is a great class for Beginners and Intermediate fishermen alike. The cost of the class is $100 and is limited to 6 anglers per session and includes lunch, beverages, as well as equipment rental if needed.

We're excited to offer another Spey Clinic for those interested with Larry Aiuppy on Saturday May 5th - give us a call to reserve your spot today. In addition to getting signed up for the class and getting some top notch instruction, you will be registered for a 1 in 6 chance to win an Echo Two Handed rod of your choice. The cost of the class is $150 for roughly 8 hours of instruction and lunch and beverages are included as well. This is the first of two Spey Class offerings in 2012, so call us today!
If you cant make it to any of the classes and you still want to get out on the water, we've got a couple of weeks left on our Spring Trip Special for you to take advantage of. April is one of the best months to be out in Montana for fishing as the weather is usually tolerable, the fishing is better than average and the crowds are typically a lot less than during the peak travel months during the summer. Plus at over $100 off a trip, you can get out on the water for less than you can the rest of the season. Call us today to book your trip and check the link for further details!
