Spring is just around the corner in the Kenosha Area! Swing on by for a never-before-seen Reggie Jackson baseball exhibit, a cheese and beer festival, the start of golf season, and the return of electric streetcar weekday service!

 

Reggie Jackson exhibitBASEBALL EXHIBIT DEBUTS!

It may be March, but it's time to think October. As in Mr. October. On March 24, a new exhibit that is sure to be a hit opens at the free Kenosha Public Museum: Home Run! Reggie Jackson & the Original 500 Club. The exhibit features the most significant private collection of memorabilia highlighting the unforgettable career of Mr. October, Reggie Jackson! Also included are bats from 17 members of the Original 500 Club, including Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, and Mickey Mantle. 

 

CHEESE, BEER, AND AN OVERNIGHT STAY!

The Dairy State Cheese & Beer Festival takes place on April 21 at the Brat Stop. This growing event includes some of the area's finest micro-brews, a home-brew section, cheeses from around the Dairy State and live music. And that's not all! To make it convenient for you, five Kenosha Area hotels are offering packages, which include an overnight stay and festival tickets. Some also include transportation so you don't need to worry about driving back to the hotel after enjoying the festival! Make it a Kenosha Area getaway weekend with your significant other or your buddies!

 

 

Golf at Brighton Dale DUST OFF YOUR GOLF CLUBS!

Petrifying Springs Golf Course, Kenosha County's oldest public golf course, and the Brighton Dale Links golf courses are expected to open this month! So get ready to gather your relatives, your friends, your neighbors, or your office mates and head to the greens! The clubhouses will open March 17.The golf courses will open as soon as weather permits after that! Both facilities are surrounded by majestic, picture-perfect natural settings. Gift certificates and season passes (with discounts for seniors, college students, and juniors) are available.

 

 

Ride the Electric Streetcar RIDE THE ELECTRIC STREETCAR!

This month, Kenosha's Electric Streetcars resume their 7-day-a-week schedule! This is a very affordable and enjoyable way to view our Lake Michigan shoreline, the Kenosha Sculpture Walk in HarborPark, and two of our four National Register Historic Districts - without having to do all the walking! The beautifully restored electric streetcars travel a 2-mile loop, and connect METRA train passengers with many Downtown Kenosha shopping and dining options. Enthusiastic streetcar fans can learn more about Kenosha's streetcar history from the Kenosha Streetcar Society.
