Southport Light Station Museum Grand Opening
Kenosha's newest museum, the Southport Light Station Museum will hold a Sneak Preview event, followed by its Grand Opening, May 14-15. The Sneak Preview & Cocktail Party takes place on the evening of Friday, May 14th, while the Grand Opening festivities are Saturday, May 15th. View historic harbor maps, an authentic Fresnel lens, and lighthouse keeper's tools and learn about Kenosha's harbor history at this new lighthouse and maritime museum. On Saturday, entertainer David Drake will sing maritime songs, and re-enactors will portray lighthouse keepers as you tour the museum. You can also climb the 1866 Southport Lighthouse. Happy Acres Kampground Open
Happy Acres Kampground is open for another season of fun. Continue your family's camping tradition - or start a new one - at Happy Acres this year! Each weekend includes activities planned around a different theme. Moms receive complimentary coffee and a sweet roll or donut Mother's Day Weekend. Other special weekends this season include Fairy Tale Weekend, Halloween in June, Totally 80's Weekend, and Star Wars Weekend. Swimming, fishing, mini-golfing, walking trails, making s'mores around a campfire, and more await your family!

Kenosha HarborMarket Returns Outdoors
On Saturday, May 22nd, Kenosha HarborMarket returns to its outdoor location along 2nd Ave. between 54th St. and 56th St. Enjoy your Saturday morning with a leisurely stroll through this open-air, European-style market. The market offers a family-friendly atmosphere filled with entertainment, chef demonstrations, ethnic food, fine art, handmade crafts, locally grown organic produce, meats, cheeses, eggs, baked goods, soaps, flowers, and more. Until then, the market will be inside the Rhode Center for the Arts May 8th and 15th.

Wilmot Mountain Flea Market is Open
Hunt for bargains each Sunday at the Wilmot Mountain Flea Market. "From flea to shining ski ... A summer-time of family fun!" The parking lot of Wilmot Mountain Ski and Snowboard Area turns into a flea market in the off-season. You'll find antiques, collectibles, new stuff and used things. Christmas in May
It's Christmas every month of the year in Downtown Kenosha! Please note Forever Christmas has changed locations, and is now located at 5913 Sixth Avenue 'A'. You'll find it on the same block as Equinox - The Body & Soul Boutique and Secret Garden Café. So in between pampering yourself with a massage and enjoying a scrumptious lunch, you can start your Christmas shopping early. And take yourself back to your favorite Christmas memories!
