2009 Contest Winners Announced
We're proud to announce the winners of the 2009 Kenosha Area Picture Perfect Photo Contest: Nate Whitney, Kathy Brand, and Stephen Laviolette. The winners were awarded dinner at House of Gerhard, Boat House Pub & Eatery, or Ron's Place, and dessert at Scoops! Ice Cream. Everyone is welcome to submit photos taken in Kenosha County. Start Monkeying Around on January 30th
Endless indoor fun for the young can be found at Monkey Joe's! This inflatable play center for children ages 2-12 opens in Kenosha on Jan. 30th.
There are walk-in hours, or you can book your child's next birthday party here. The place features nine jumps and slides,
arcade games, a toddler area, and separate party rooms. There are even adult areas with TV and
free wireless Internet!

Early Bird Deal for Theater Fans
In the midst of its 36th season, Lakeside Players has already announced its 37th Season! The season opens Sept. 10th with "And Then There Were None" by Agatha Christie. This is followed by "War of The Worlds" by Howard W. Koch (adapted from the H.G. Wells story). Season tickets are available for a special "Early Bird" price until May 1st! It seems there's always one election or another in the news. But there's only one election that takes center stage at the Civil War Museum. Here, take part in the Election of 1860! It was the most polarizing and divisive election in our country's history as four candidates vied for president. We know who won, but who would you have voted for 150 years ago? Abraham Lincoln? Stephen A. Douglas? Someone else? Visit the Museum before Nov. 6th to cast your vote! |
