Eat, Drink & Be Merry
Chippewa Falls

Looking for new and exciting attractions that allow you to eat, drink and be merry? Well, Chippewa Falls has opportunities for you. Opening in June 2009, visit River Bend Vineyard & Winery.  River Bend is the first Chippewa County facility to produce its own grapes with the intention of bottling it into wine. You will be able to sample wines such as Lacrescent, Magenta, Cranberry Blush, Sunset, and Water Street White. If you are looking for a "Northwoods" beverage take a tour of the Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Leinie'sCompany followed by samples of their year- round brews. Leinie's also offers a wide array of seasonal beers with the newest being "Classic Amber," their signature all-malt lager. This beer is a celebration of genuine ingredients, time-honored brewing traditions and authentic craft beer flavor. If that has worked up your appetite, plan a stop at Yellowstone Cheese in Cadott. They offer over 40 varieties of cheese made fresh at their factory/store. Offering cheeses from apple wine cheese to dill pickle cheese to salsa cheese and all the favorites in between. Their cheese curds are guaranteed to squeak in your mouth and are currently made on Wednesdays and Sundays. All the milk used to make the cheese comes from their farm right next to the factory.  A new meaning to "Farm Fresh".

We welcome you and your motor coach tour to visit Chippewa Falls and experience our incredible area. Above are just a couple of area attractions that can fit your motor coach needs, so check out our new group tour planner for many other attraction, dining, lodging and event ideas!

Culinary Tour Ideas
Yummy!

Wausau- Make your own cheese (ice cream and butter, too!) and discover the mysteries of ginseng. Only with a group can you become a Wisconsin Cheesemaker at Willow Springs Garden and make fresh mozzarella cheese, ice cream and butter with your own hands (and then eat them!). Another group exclusive is Hsu's Ginseng, the Hsu's Ginsengnation's largest ginseng enterprise. Visit the covered fields and where the ginseng root is still clipped meticulously by hand. Hsu's is now the home to the Guinness Book Of World Record American Ginseng Root, lovingly preserved in vodka!

St. Croix Falls- Relax by indoor or outdoor fireplaces and enjoy a wine tasting with crackers and cheese at Chateau St. Croix. Jazz it up a bit with added salmon or hard salami. Finish the evening with an exquisite truffle. Include a 1/2 hour tour of the winery to make the visit complete (each guest receives a souvenir wine glass).

Hudson- Add a touch of class to your tours with a Victorian Cream Tea and tour at Hudson's Octagon House. An endless cup of tea and an array of sweets make this stop almost sinfully good. Include a concert by the Mighty Wurlitzer for a tour deserving of a standing ovation.

White Hats, Black Hats & Red Hats
Hats Of All Types Welcome

Red Hats at Fanny HillHats can tell you a lot about a person. Baseball hats can tell you who cheers for the home team and visors are often found on those headed to the links. Hollywood tells us that black hats are the bad guys and white hats are the good guys. Red hats are often the choice of women on a mission to have fun! In Northern Wisconsin we welcome all hats!

Four Seasons Resort- Gangsters often hung their hat here when they needed to escape the police in the big city. This island retreat has all the amenities, including dinner theatre performances!

Minocqua- Just outside of Minocqua is the Little Bohemia Lodge where John Dillinger was caught in a shootout with the FBI-- the bullet holes are still there! More recently Johnny Depp and Christian Bale reenacted this piece of history for their soon-to-be-released film, Public Enemies.

Superior- Veterans are our biggest heroes of all. The Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center has expanded its mission beyond World War II to retelling the stories of all who have served their country.

Fanny Hill Dinner Theatre- Grab your favorite red hat (or pink) and head for one of Fanny Hill's special Red Hat matinees. Celebrate National Red Hat Day with a special presentation by their pastry chef, prizes and a whole lot of giggling at a special matinee presentation of Lend Me A Tenor.
