America's Dairyland- A Hands-On Experience
Wausau's Willow Springs Garden
 
Just outside of Wausau, nestled in the rolling hills, is a new way- or maybe we should say an old fashioned way- to have lunch.
 
Butter makingDon't just enjoy our state's favorite dairy treats- join in the fun. Shake, squeeze and stretch! Groups help make butter, ice cream and cheese that will be used in a hearty lunch. There's nothing like freshly made fun!

Fall For Wisconsin
Chippewa Falls & St. Croix Falls
 
It's easy to fall for Wisconsin when you see what these destinations have to offer!
 
Set on the Chippewa River, Chippewa Leinie TourFalls has a long history of lumbering and beer making, as well as super-computers! There are a wide variety of tours available, including the Leienkugel Brewing Company and The Chippewa Falls Museum of Industry and Technology.

Enjoy a boat cruise on Wisconsin's scenic St. Croix River. Riverdrivers St. Croix Fallstried to tame this river, but it's wild beauty can still be found. You can take a ride on the rails through the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway.

Island Time
Madeline, Miscauno, Minocqua & Barker's
 
Region One is home to four great islands, each with a special character all its own. Who needs a tropical island when you can visit Madeline, Miscauno, Minocqua and Barker's Island?
 
For hundreds of years this island had Madeline Island Ferry Lineplayed an important part in Wisconsin's history. From the natives and their grand medicine lodges, to the French fur traders and their birch bark canoes, to today's tourist ready for relaxation.

Minocqua has been a Mecca for travelers for many years. From fineScheer's Lumberjack Show dining and shopping, to fishing and history, groups will find a wealth of fun.
 
Lumberjacks called the area home around the turn of the century, now you can get in on the action at Scheer's Lumberjack Shows. The Min-Aqua-Bats will thrill you with their acrobatic water-ski show.

This is home to the world's last whaleback ship, the SS Meteor. She was launched in Superior in 1896; and following a long career of shipping iron ore, grain oil and cars, she has been permanently berthed at Barker's Island. Tours of this unique ship include a tour from the pilot house to cargo holds, including the original 1896 steam engine and a blast of the whistle.
 
Also included are exhibits on the history of ship building in the Twin Ports and shipwrecks of the Great Lakes.
