Cheryl says, "This is the year of Self-Empowerment.
Define yourself by answering these questions:
Who am I? (Think of every dimension of who you
are.) Why was I born? What is my purpose in life?
Am I doing what I love or hating what I do?
Write a Personal Vision Statement. According to
Heathfield (2006) your vision statement is a vision for
your future. Your vision statement is a map for your
life to direct you daily and when you make decisions
about your life. Write down ten things that you
enjoy doing the most and without them your life
would feel incomplete. Next write down three things
that you must do daily to feel complete. Finally,
write down your five most important values. Now
you are ready to write your vision statement. Write
in first person and make statements about the future
you hope to achieve. Write the statements as if you
are already making them happen in your life.
In addition to Heathfield's suggestions, I suggest
that you write down two goals: 1 Short-Term
and 1 Long Term. Be specific, define a date, and
move forward with the execution of your plan.
Enjoy the new year and thanks again for your
support."
