It's time to vote again in the National election. It has
always been a great honor and joy for me to be part of
the election process, having been raised in a
politically conscious household. As a result, I
became
a political junkie. I simply
love political banter. I studied Political Science in
college and still remember debates in class on many
issues. I still remember too, how heated some
people
would get just because they had an opinion that was
different from mine. I didn't understand why being
affiliated with any political party meant my opinion
was
less valid than theirs. My study of yoga has led me to
believe we are all living our own reality with our own
opinions and moral drivers. If disagreement between
yogi's arises how should we handle it? As heated,
unyielding politicians or as forgiving like minded
souls? Remember to vote on November 3rd but more
importantly remember to live your yoga with
acceptance, tolerance and forgiveness.
Forgiveness renders the past powerless . . . nothing
you ever did or that was ever done to you could touch
the radiant essence of who you are. ECKHART TOLLE
