AYURVEDA, the ancient sister science to Yoga, aligns the physical body with the cycles of the earth. As the seasons begin to change, it is natural to detoxify the body as a passage from Winter to Spring. Begin simply by avoiding heavy, cold, hard to digest foods. Temper or reduce sweet, sour, and salty tastes to enable your digestive system to be more efficient in burning away the accumulated winter toxins or "AMA". To help stimulate the digestion and detoxify your body, add spices such as coriander, cumin, turmeric and fennel. Simple suggestions to bring the body in harmony and balance with the universe.

 TEACHER TRAINING
 Ready for the challenge?

Learning to teach yoga can deepen your understanding of yoga and bring your practice to a heightened state of awareness. Beginning In July (dates to be announced) I will be offering a six month program of instruction. The class sessions will include sequencing, alignment, both verbal and hands on, as well as in depth study of pranayama. The 6 month program will allow for ongoing team teaching and supervision in class as teacher trainees teach classes at The Haven as warranted. Those interested should contact me via e-mail on pricing. Only five students will be accepted this year.
