"If you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a track that
has been there the whole while waiting for you and the
life you ought to be living is the life you are living."
(Joseph Campbell)
Why is this quote important to our practice of yoga?
Because as we approach the mat, our intention for
our practice is transformed to reality. Believe
as you made the choice to practice, you made the
choice to experience the bliss that yoga offers. The
moment you stop believing because of fear or
judgment (I'm too tight or I can't), is the moment you
create limitations. Release the negative self talk.
Allow yourself to experience yoga without limits,
without self doubt. For
me this quote has helped focus my
attention in life as well as yoga. Here is where the
true beauty of yoga takes place. As we practice in
yoga, we practice in life. It seems automatic
sometimes, the principals of yoga transferring to how
life transforms. When we live without fear and
judgment it shows and we are able to experience our
bliss. It is a good thing! I wish you all a very
blissful New Year.
Life is a gift. How you choose to celebrate each day
determines who you are.
