I can only teach what I have experienced and believe
in. Making the choice to go completely vegan was
fairly easy. It started right after our Costa Rican
retreat. The food at the retreat inlcuded yummy
vegetarian choices, so I felt like the time was perfect to
transition to completely vegan once home. I am
convinced now, that vegetarianism has heightened my
yoga practice. I believe this karmic action has put
me in a place of greater peace and awareness and
brought that peace and awareness to a heightened
level in my physical practice. My joints feel less
restricted. Somehow I feel cleaner, lighter. If you
would like tips or
help on how to make a transition to a more peaceful
way of nourishing your body, I can help. It really
isn't as difficult as you may think.
AHIMSA: (non-violence) Includes vegetarianism at it's
core. When we choose to consume a living being that
has suffered, as part of the cycle, we then in our
tissues and very essence take on that suffering.
