Consistency in your practice may be the most difficult of the obstacles to surpass. Having practiced since 1985 I am aware how life can get in the way of your yoga practice. Raising children, a hectic career and illness, I have seen it all. There is always a way to practice. Allow yourself to practice daily as a form of compassion towards yourself. If you aren't able to make it to class every day I can help you put together a series of postures that will fit in with your life. I am convinced, a regular yoga practice will deepen the awareness of the light within you.

 NETI Pots

Neti pots are here! What? Nasal cleansing bowls. Not as yucky as you think. Used as part of a daily cleansing ritual, neti pots remove allergens and toxins while balancing our natural internal cleansing properties of the nasal passageways. Check them out in the boutique. Three new retail lines and a huge shipment of books and cd's will be in soon too. Remember, I want to stock items that you want. Let me know if there is something you want stocked in the boutique, as I will always sell items lower than retail.

 Kindness, Compassion, Tolerance

Is it kind or compassionate to leave class before namaste? Are we practicing tolerance and ahimsa (non-violence) when we resent the intrusion to savasana when students leave early? It is a tough call either way. I want The Haven to be a place of peace. Ultimately the answer will come from you. Just so you know, I can count on one hand, really one finger the number of times I have left class early.

SA TU DIRGHA KALA NAIRANTARYA SATKA RASEVITO DRDHABHUMIH . . . The practice must be attended to for a long time, without break, with great earnestness and firm grounding.
