While the central geography and sparkling new Indiana Convention Center failed to halt the recent attendance slide, Sell-Through Solutions took away many positives from the 2011 CEDIA Expo:
The venue was far superior to the Georgia World Congress Center location of the past two years. The entire Expo, rather than being split up into multiple rooms in the bowels of the Atlanta venue, fit into a single easy-to-navigate convention hall.
Catwalks between nearby hotels and the convention center meant that attendees didn't have to contend with the wet remnants of Tropical Storm Lee.
Restaurants were plentiful and close by.
Downtown Indianapolis is infinitely safer to walk after-hours than Atlanta.
Finally, it just seemed that this Expo emphasized quality over quantity. Attendees were serious businesspeople, not gawkers. And it was very easy to meet with vendor principals, even CEOs, at exhibitor booths.
We hope you had a successful show, and we're looking forward to Expo 2012!
