Greetings!,Carol Headshot

I hope you had a wonderful summer! It was a treat for me to visit the beautiful city of Budapest, Hungary, while speaking at the International Feng Shui Conference.  Visiting new countries always gives me a broader perspective and an appreciation for how unique we all are.

Now it is time to shift energies as we move into fall.  It is so exciting that 'green' buildings are moving towards becoming the norm all over the world.  I receive many phone calls from people and organizations wanting to know how they can 'go green.'  It is certainly reflected in my speaking schedule and I am thrilled to be spreading the word about green and harmonious buildings.  It is particularly exciting that I will be the Lead Instructor for a nine-month Sustainable Building Advisor Certificate Program right here in Pennsylvania.

In this issue I've included a checklist to help you begin to improve the greenness of your environment. Try what you can - every single thing we do will help our Mother Earth (Gaia).

The season approaching is symbolic of the Chinese element Earth.  It indicates a time of preparing and then reaping our harvest, winding down, and going within.  What better time to devote your attention to yourself, your family, your home, your business, and your planet?

Wishing you stability, strength and balance,

 Carol Cannon

Staying Healthy With the Seasons
by Elson M. Haas, M.D.

This book has been a long time favorite and seems appropriate to introduce again as we begin a shift of seasons.I have owned this book prior to the time I started studying Feng Shui and am delighted each season by how Dr. Haas incorporates the Chinese 5 elements into managing one's health.  If you want to understand how our bodies are related to the planet, read this book, now updated for the 21st Century.
