The month of Ramadan is a time for reflection ... when fortunate ones like us express our gratitude by sharing with the less fortunate.    

Ramadan is also an opportunity to support change in Pakistani civil society through education.

Sudhir Latif is a 5th grader.  There's subtle determination behind his smile. His eyes reflect hope.  From a struggling family, he has made it to a TCF school where he's assured of quality education.  The 11-year old has friends at school, access to a library and a spacious art room where he works on art projects.  

Child labor is not uncommon in Pakistan.   Sudhir's father makes a modest salary as a gate guard at a factory.  To help with the family income, Sudhir works at a cell phone outlet after school, which makes for a very busy day.  He rushes home for a quick lunch (and homework) then rushes to his job, returning late at night.
