Recently, Ohio families celebrated a federal court's decision to uphold the state's no-touch law. The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals found that the restrictions imposed by the law do not violate the First Amendment rights of s*xually oriented businesses.

Passed in 2007, the Community Defense Act prohibits contact between exotic dancers and patrons and also restricts the hours of operation of s*xually oriented businesses. The state was sued by the s*x industry the day the law went into effect.

ROCK would like to congratulate our friends at Citizens for Community Values who have worked tirelessly for the protection of Ohio families and communities! You can read more about this victory in The Columbus Dispatch.

Now that the law has been passed by the legislature and upheld by the courts, enforcement must begin for lasting, positive change. We hope citizens in Ohio will not have to wait as long as the families of Louisville, Ky. If you are unsatisfied with the lack of prosecution of alleged violations of Louisville Metro's s*xually oriented business ordinance, please contact your local council member to discuss your concerns.

The high cost of p*rnography to marriage
A couple who is performing and producing amateur p*rnography to make ends meet for their family appeared in the news last week. They have quickly become successful, often making $1,000 a week. But the high cost of this business may be more than they are willing to pay - the intimacy of their marriage. Interactions from a viewing audience also bring in demeaning requests. Read their story here.
