On behalf of the ROCK Cares Foundation, ROCK would like to announce that the "In God We Trust" specialty license plate for Kentucky has been approved! Thank you for all of your help with phone calls, emails and letters to bring this plate to highways across the Commonwealth. This effort would not have happened without your desire and perseverance to bring the nation's motto of "In God We Trust" to the state of Kentucky in a meaningful way.    

The next step of the ROCK Cares Foundation will be to collect 900 applications for the state to start production on the plate. If you would like one of these plates, please download the application form, fill it out and mail it with a $25 check made payable to the ROCK Cares Foundation to 1717 Alliant Ave, Suite 21A, Louisville, KY 40299. 

Once 900 applications have been collected and submitted, the state has 90 days to produce the plate. ROCK Cares would like to collect these applications as soon as possible so that the plate will be available by Nov. 1. Please help by downloading and printing out the application to share with those who would like this plate.  Each license plate requested will require a separate application but one check may be used to pay the fee. 

The actual cost of the plate is $44, which includes $28 for the state, $6 for the clerk's office, and a $10 voluntary contribution for the ROCK Cares Foundation. If you are one of the 900 applicants, your $25 application fee will be applied to the specialty license plate fee. Once your application is submitted by ROCK Cares to the Kentucky Transportation Department, the state will send a voucher through the mail. A personalized specialty plate may be requested at your local county clerk's office for an additional $25.

Those receiving assistance and vehicle owners donating to support this important work can rest assured that their trust is well placed in the ROCK Cares Foundation's mission. This is a great day for the Commonwealth of Kentucky and her citizens as we come together to celebrate the blessing found in the beautiful words of 'In God We Trust'."
