"Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right." ~Oprah Winfrey~ |

Greetings! | |
Hello,
Happy New Year!
As we head into a new year, we usually reflect back on the past year and make resolutions we vow to keep. As the year wears on, the resolutions are seldom kept and there is always the hope that we will do better next year. The next year comes and we start all over again.
At our Annual Open House that we had on December 1st., we heard over and over from our customers that because of staff changes, turnover, new hires, upgrades, etc. they were not using their system to its full capacity. If this sounds like you, please call us for training. We will come to your office, using your data and help you to set up reports in your system, teach you tips and tricks and help you capitolize on your investment. You don't have to work harder when you are working smarter. This is what what we are here for and maybe this year we can actually help you to keep a resolution that would make a BIG difference.

9 Things That Motivate Employees | |
Don't show 'em the money (even if you have it). Here are nine better ways to boost morale.
The ability to motivate employees is one of the greatest skills an entrepreneur can possess. Two years ago, I realized I didn't have this skill. So I hired a CEO who did.
Josh had 12 years in the corporate world, which included running a major department at Comcast. I knew he was seasoned, but I was still skeptical at first. We were going through some tough growing pains, and I thought that a lack of cash would make it extremely difficult to improve the company morale.
I was wrong.
With his help and the help of the great team leaders he put in place, Josh not only rebuilt the culture, but also created a passionate, hard-working team that is as committed to growing and improving the company as I am.
Here are nine things I learned from him:- Be generous with praise. Everyone wants it and it's one of the easiest things to give. Plus, praise from the CEO goes a lot farther than you might think. Praise every improvement that you see your team members make. Once you're comfortable delivering praise one-on-one to an employee, try praising them in front of others.

6 Ways Cloud Computing Will Evolve in 2012 |
Cloud computing will dig even deeper into the enterprise, with hybrid clouds, virtualized clients, and
security standards topping the hot trends.
By Charles Babcock InformationWeek December 27, 2011 09:45 AM
Cloud computing has become so broadly accepted that it won't rank as an exciting development for 2012. Instead, you will see a more organized, concerted application of resources to further the cloud's use in conjunction with central IT. Let's take a look at the top things we can expect from the cloud over the next year.
1. 2012: Year Of The Hybrid Cloud
The most obvious expression of the trend is the serious interest in private cloud computing, where more of the enterprise data center is given over to virtualized and automated operations, including end-user self service. Why? Because the public cloud, if still not fully trusted, is understood to be a long-term player on the landscape. The movement to internal cloud computing isn't in opposition to the public cloud. Rather, it reflects the growing sense within IT that its own environment will need to be as efficient and compatible as possible.

Windows 8 Store: 8 Ways It Beats Apple | Microsoft lifts the curtain on its forthcoming Windows 8 Store in a bid to attract developers to create Metro apps.
By Thomas Claburn InformationWeekDecember 08, 2011 09:30 AM
Microsoft on Tuesday said a public beta of Windows 8 will be released in February 2012 and provided details about its forthcoming Windows 8 Store, the mechanism within Windows 8 by which the company will sell and distribute Windows 8 Metro apps.
Windows 8 is the next version of Microsoft's operating system for personal computers, laptops, and tablets. It brings with it major changes, such as an integrated software store--similar in concept to Apple's Mac App Store--and support for ARM chips. Metro is the name of the new touch-centric user interface in Windows 8. |
