Medical experts and scientists tell us "Children are defenseless to protect themselves from indoor environmental hazards."
Dangers like: air pollution, dust particles, volatile organic compounds, migrated outdoor pollutants, grease and oil, food particles, pesticides, dust mites and allergens.
What's kinda freaky and somewhat shocking is - the environmental hazard to your new born, infant, or preschool child (or pet) playing on the floor is much greater than yours as an adult standing in the same room. That is due to what Dr. Cynthia F. Bearer calls...
Breathing Zones
Imagine a glass of water half full. Pour in 1/3rd cup of liquid oil. What happens? Right! It separates and the "heaver" liquid settles hard to the bottom. Like water, any particle heaver than air settles to a lower level. This is what happens to air quality in your home.
What this means to you is... the breathing zone for you as an adult is five to six feet above the floor, and a lot safer. However for your child, grandchild or pet, they live on the floor.
