LGW's 25th Anniversary Celebration
| | |
This year is LGW's 25th Anniversary - marking 25 years of success, 25 classes filled with the region's top leaders and 25 years of positive change in the community. To celebrate LGW's Anniversary Year, 25 LGW members were nominated as change agents and will be recognized in the Washington Business Journal and other places. Two of these segments have already run, be on the lookout for more in the series every other Friday continuing October 22 to celebrate LGW's Bright Past. Brilliant Future.
With a growing membership of nearly 1,300 members, now is the time to reconnect with the members of your class and reflect on the value of LGW. How many contacts in your phone book were made through an LGW event? How many business connections or partnerships started with LGW? How many more can be made? This will be a year filled with celebration and making connections - join us for a member reunion or an upcoming LGW event to be a part of the positive change that LGW is making in the Greater Washington region.
This week's Fall Kick-Off Luncheon is only the beginning - this year will be filled with events in which members and other leaders can network, learn more about the Greater Washington region as well as contribute to the region through a number of volunteer events made possible through a partnership with Greater DC Cares. You won't want to miss being a part of the exciting events planned throughout LGW's Anniversary Year.
Thank You to our growing list of investors:

Baker Elected for Second Board Chair Term
| | LGW's Board of Directors asked Maxine B. Baker, '99 to serve a second year in her role as Board Chair. This year, the LGW Board is focused on the tiered strategic plan map focusing on goals based on LGW's impact in the community, membership engagement, financial structure and general operation. The plan is a road map to guide LGW to optimum impact. This strategic plan map will be shared with the membership in a future newsletter.
"We're thrilled to have Maxine's guidance on board with us once again," said President and CEO Tim Kime, '98. "Maxine's leadership and creativity together with the committed and focused board members will create a powerhouse in LGW's Anniversary Year and beyond." |
