Hello from my Heart,
Now that we have three eclipses, a Nexus,
Fire the Grid, the Lion's Gate and who knows what
else behind us, can we have a little rest? It has been
very challenging for me and also for many others. Yes,
I am following my own advice! September 9 is
shaping up to be an observance of some kind -
9/9/09. Stay tuned as this develops.
Jennifer Hoffman continues to write meaningful and
helpful articles.
My friend Judy has written a good article on Play,
which
has become her specialty. You might want to check
out the Museum of Play. Have fun playing and
laughing - Pierre
Teilhard de Chardin said, "Joy is the surest indication
of the presence of God."
Remember to Love! Breathe! Forgive! Claim
your power! Let your feelings flow through you as you
negotiate the challenges and release them. And give
yourself the blessed gift of meditation.
lovelightandlaughter, ![]() You are Worthy of ALL the LOVE and JOY in the Universe!

Where is the Love?
Although we begin our life journey with full knowledge
and understanding of unconditional love, the twists
and turns of our path remind us that earth can be a
very 'unloving' place. The love we give is often not
returned to us and when we have experience
enough 'loveless' situations and relationships, we
begin to wonder what happened to the love that
everyone is supposed to have. Do they keep it for
themselves or is there some secret we don't know to
receive love? We willingly give love to others but where
is the love in the world if it is not being shared with
us?
How many times do we give love to others only to have
them reject us and our love? How many times do we
approach a situation with acceptance and healing and
the response is denial of our gift of love? If we are
willing to give love, then where is the love that should
be our reward? We can believe that it is our mission to
teach the world to love and we will find love someday.
But while we are challenged to give love to everyone
without expectation of receiving anything in return,
there is a way to ensure that we receive all of the love
we give and more.
We can take two paths for love; each of them reflects
our intention for the love we give. One path is to give
love conditionally, with the expectation of receiving.
Then we find the person who is least likely to return
our love and challenge ourselves to somehow get
them to love us. Despite our expectations and no
matter how much love we give, they will give us what
they can, which is often little or none at all. This is the
karmic path, because we connect to those we have
loved, wronged or been wronged by in the past and
our gift of love is an attempt to heal that wound. But
our love is conditional, we want something in return,
either to be validated, vindicated, appreciated or
forgiven and this is manipulation, not unconditional
love.
The other path is to love ourselves unconditionally, to
be the love we wish to have and we will connect to
people and situations that mirror our self love. There
is love in the world. Each of us has a core of divine
love that we can express, or not, according to our
soul's path and willingness to embody the divinity in
our humanity. No matter how much we look for love,
unless we have it within us, we will be unfulfilled and
dissatisfied with our results because the love we find
is always a mirror of the love we are willing to
acknowledge within. No matter how 'unloving' the
world may appear, there is always love present and
we can experience that love in wonderful, fulfilling
ways when we remember to look for it within. When
we expect love, unconditionally and without judgment,
it will be there for us and the love we give will be
returned to us.
Here is a great opportunity for you and it's Free!
Emotional Freedom Technique is a great way to help
yourself. I teach it in my classes. It can also be taught
to children so that they literally have these tools at their
fingertips. "Tapping is a simple and amazingly fast technique. "You just lightly but firmly tap on certain acupuncture/acupressure points on the face, head and upper body and astonishing events begin to take place. The process quickly and easily activates the body's own "energy meridian system" and has great potential for releasing virtually anything that's "wrong" with you. "Tapping has been shown to provide relief from chronic pain, emotional problems, disorders, addictions, phobias, post traumatic stress disorder, and physical issues. While Tapping and the use of 'energy systems' in general is somewhat new to the Western world, it is set to revolutionize the field of health and wellness, using healing concepts that have been in practice in Eastern medicine for over 5,000 years. "Like acupuncture and acupressure, Tapping is a set of specific techniques which utilize the body's energy meridian points. You can stimulate these meridian points simply by tapping on them with your fingertips - literally tapping into your body's own energy and healing power." Hi. It's Judy. I'm still out here on the Playground.
Of course I always like recess best, but recently I also
learned something rather important at the National
Institute for Play (
http://nifplay.org ). Of course, the very
idea of an institute for Play is an oxymoron. Which is
what makes it so much fun!
What I learned at the Institute needs a bit of preface:
as you may recall, my religion of Judyism was the
religion of play and the subject of my 64 Judyism
Letters. Who would have guessed that a prestigious
medical doctor of neurology and psychiatry would be
agreeing with me?!!! Well, it's true. The founder of the
National Institute for Play, Dr. Stuart Brown, says that
Play is the ultimate form of spirituality and here's why:
1 Play is similar to sleep and dreams in terms of
psychospiritual needs. When we play we enter a state
of timelessness. To be outside of time and not
subject to its constraints is to be in eternity.
2. All forms of spirituality employ ritual. The rituals of
play often have ethereal qualities--a spiritual ballet, if
you will. If you don't believe this, watch the beautiful
rhythm of children at play.
3. Play encourages optimism, joy, compassion and
morality--all spiritual virtues.
4. Studies have shown that if humans do not engage
in play, they become "reptilian" in their behaviors, that
is, lacking in emotion and spiritual purpose.
5. And speaking of spiritual purpose, play helps us
discover our talents and who we really are; that is, play
helps us experience "spirit," the non-material aspect
of ourselves and our lives.
6. Play is an ingenious self-organizing and spiritually
evolutionary system. When we understand Play, we
understand "God."
7. Most religions are studies in paradox. Play looks
like purposeless silliness, which is, paradoxically, the
most priceless wisdom in the universe.
Stuart Brown and his Play Institute aside, I have also
discovered something else: wonderment is one of the
key elements of play because it keeps one in awe in
the present moment. Wonderment is about exploring
the mystery of something. So if you really want to
experience play, whatever you find yourself doing,
say, "I wonder what this experience is at its essence.
Where can I take it? Where can it take me? I wonder if
I can push the possible to its very edge into the so-
called impossible. I wonder who I am now. I wonder
how my external reality is changing at this very
moment. I wonder. . . I stand in awe of myself and the
universe. . ."
So until whenever, I encourage you to practice unsafe
sects--the religion of Play. ("Unsafe," says Brown,
because to truly play one must take risks.)
For play, always,
"A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It
sings because it has a song." Chinese proverb
