Station-to-Station: We're entering an interesting period of time as both Mercury and Neptune station retrograde at the same time on Monday - Memorial Day here in the States. What's striking about this combination is that it echoes a theme back in late January when Mercury stationed retrograde while joined with Neptune. If you remember, we experienced an unprecedented string of communication and transportation problems at that time, resulting in one of the more challenging Mercury retrograde periods we've seen in a long time.

Even so, it doesn't appear as though we're going to have the same degree of weirdness we saw last winter - at least not throughout the three week period of Mercury retrograde ending on June 19. The reason being that Mercury will be forming a wide, yet flowing (trine) alignment with Neptune during its station (as opposed to the conjunction we saw back in January). Another factor is that Mercury won't be making any stressful alignments to other planets while it moves retrograde. My guess is that that the most problematic period will be this coming week and perhaps the week that follows due to stationary Neptune's tendency to shroud clear thinking in a thick, pink haze of unreality and wishful thinking.

Other factors come into play that are likely to have an noticeable impact, primarily with Mercury retrograde in Gemini - the sign of its rulership - significantly underscoring communication and transportation themes. During Mercury retrograde periods, we're asked to pay closer attention to what we're doing, thinking and saying, not to mention avoiding the temptation to make assumptions. The problem here is that Mercury retrograde in Gemini often has the attention span of a chicken, opening the possibility of short-sighted, reactive thinking, leading to glitches, oversights, accidents and misunderstandings. In the Big Picture, the combination of Mercury and Neptune stationing together points directly to pump prices as they flirt with $4.00 a gallon, particularly with Memorial Day being touted as the beginning of the Summer Driving Season. The escalating price of oil that we're currently seeing is most likely tied to stationary Neptune (oil) which will have a major impact on driving (Mercury) as well as shipping (Mercury).

On the same day as these planetary stations, Venus (also in Gemini) forms a square aspect with Saturn, suggesting finances (Venus) being squeezed (square) by the harsh reality (Saturn) that the value (Venus) of oil will force us into making difficult (Saturn) lifestyle (Venus) choices. (This alignment has other symbolic connections other than money and values which I touch on in the Daily Forecast section.) Although we'll be seeing even greater media attention (Mercury) being placed on the price of gas and oil over the weekend, there is also a strong possibility that once Mercury begins to move retrograde, we'll see prices begin to retreat. This isn't a given, but the retrograde symbolism involved either suggests people aren't going to be driving as much or that prices will temporarily ease. Mercury's three-week retrograde in Gemini could also be a sign of reflection and reconsideration when it comes to transportation logistics. Now that the notion of "Peak Oil" has moved from the fringe to the mainstream, this is an ideal time to begin looking at what options are available in the face of the unpleasant fact that gasoline will only become more scarce and expensive as time goes on. Maybe it's time to unload that Escalade?

Fuel prices aside, Mercury retrograde is an ideal time to regroup and reorganize aspects of your life that involve travel and communication. It would be best to avoid contract signings as well as booking reservations or placing orders over the phone or Internet. If you don't have any choice in these matters, don't fret - just be sure to double check your facts while having a backup plan, just in case. Give yourself a wide margin of time, as Mercury retrograde often coincides with unexpected delays. Also avoid making assumptions - particularly while Neptune is stationary this week, coinciding with tendency to paint an ideal picture when hard, difficult facts are staring you in the face. Above all, don't panic! Mercury retrograde isn't "doing" anything, only marking a time when we need to become more aware of our thought processes, of taking a moment to think things through. Even when things appear to go south on us, they're usually nothing more than minor annoyances. But hey, don't take my word for it; see for yourself if there's anything to this Mercury retro business. For astrologers, one of the best things about Mercury retrograde is that it gives even the most skeptical mindsets reason to pause.

Let Nature Spirits show us their level of unconditional love

During a healing a few months ago, I heard something interesting from the lower dimensions of energy that support us. The Nature Spirits and Intelligences of a room reflect all that happens in the room. There is no guilt or shame in watching TV or having an argument in a space. You may also purchase a home that needs a bit of cleansing. For this reason, I see the Nature Spirits and Intelligences of a space reflecting all that happens within the space - from very heavenly to very human!

When asking Nature Spirits and Intelligences to participate in the healing sphere, I ask that just those among them who vibrate at what they consider to be unconditional love step forward. This is not the level of unconditional love that I as a human know, but a level beyond my understanding.

As I let these lower dimensional beings show me what they consider to be unconditional love, I feel a gentle shift and greater ease in my body and in the room. They can show me a level of love not limited by my human concepts. They speak directly to my body, and my body feels the sensation of unconditionally loving support without the boundaries imposed by my mind or the emotions within my heart. It is a sensation that opens my heart and mind, but starts from my body feeling the sensation of clear, unconditional love.

As a healer and channeler, I was unconsciously steered to heaven and away from earth. But earth is the other half of the potential healing energies we have available to us. For this reason I always call in both the heavenly side with Archangel Michael, and the Earthly side with this sphere. Whether it is in phone sessions or in person or in a concert, this is the fundamental piece that let's us embark into a time of healing.
