ACAL BFiNews from Acal BFi

Dear ,

As your specialist distributor, Acal BFi are pleased to bring you a taster from the extensive Honeywell range of Pressure Sensors. The product offering ranges from commercially competitive silicone sensors through to customised assemblies, with integrated temperature measurement for the harshest of environments in the Oil & Gas and Subsea arenas....Read on for further details.....

Honeywell's Wing Union Pressure Transmitters are extremely rugged sensors designed for and proven in use, with wing unions in demanding land-based and off-shore applications. They are available in a range of pressure options, up to 20,000 psi (1379 bar) and incorporate a new clog resistant design.

A differential vented option, with integral temperature measurement in a sub miniature package has been specifically produced by Honeywell for the harsh and demanding Down Hole and Intellligent Valve Pack applications.

Honeywell's line of flush diaphragm sub-miniature pressure transducers, supplied by Acal BFi accurately measure pressure ranges from 100psi to 15000psi with 1% accuracy.

Honeywell's 13 mm Series stainless steel pressure sensors are designed for high pressure applications that involve measurement of hostile media in harsh environments.

This series uses Honeywell's proven piezoresistive semiconductor sensor chip in an oil-isolated housing with or without an integral ceramic for temperature compensation and calibration. This design has proven to be highly reliable, stable and accurate.

These sensors feature a weld-ring collar and special back support ring for
high cycle life capability as they are designed for further package integration in OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) applications.

Products are
available with pressure ranges through to 5000 psi and can be used with voltage or current supplies.

Honeywell has further extended its TruStability™ Silicon Pressure Sensors range by adding ultra low pressure versions, and an uncompensated / unamplified version.

These devices offer customers three key benefits not found in competitive silicon sensors:
  • Stability: These sensors are the most stable silicon pressure sensors available and the onboard signal conditioning typically allows for removal of signal conditioning components on the PCB. This stability helps prevent drift over time or from temperature extremes
  • Accuracy: They are designed and calibrated to provide an extremely tight accuracy specification.
  • Flexibility: Their modular, plus flexible design linked with their small size offer customers a variety of package styles and options, all with the same industry-leading performance specifications.
