Emerson Network Power and Freescale semiconductor have announced a collaborative effort to deploy Freescale multicore QorIQ processors on modular Single-Board Computers (SBCs) based on the COM Express^® small form factor. Emerson is rapidly growing its portfolio of long-life, reliable, Intel processor-based products for a wide variety of industries including retail, industrial automation, medical and military/aerospace applications. 

Emerson has launched two new high performance AdvancedTCA server blades powered by the latest Intel Xeon processor 5600 series. The dual-processor ATCA-7365 is Emerson's highest performance 10Gbps ATCA server blade to date, while the single processor ATCA-7367 features an AMC site to balance performance with on-board storage, flexible I/O or other functionality. Both blades offer one of the highest memory capacitites of comparable ATCA blades available today, which is critical to optimise application performance.
