    Community Concert at Drake Park Next Week!

    • Who: University of Cincinnati Community Band
    • Where: Daniel Drake Park
    • When: Thursday, July 26 at 7:00 p.m.
    Bring your lawn chairs or blankets to the shelter house lawn in Daniel Drake Park for an evening of music by the UC Community Band. They'll be playing such favorites as An American in Paris, Blue Moon, Olympics Celebration, and many more. Join your neighbors for an evening of music, nature, and fellowship.

    Community Council on Summer Break

    The Kennedy Heights Community Council is still taking its annual summer break through July.

    The Board of Directors will continue to meet throughout the summer, so if there is any pressing business you may contact any board member or KHCC@kennedyheights.org.

    The board will be meeting at the regurlary scheduled time and location, 6:30 on June 19 at KH Presbyterian Church.

    Kennedy Heights Cultural Center

    On June 14th, the formal "groundbreaking of the Kennedy Heights.Culutural Center took place.

    The Cultural Center in the words of city leaders will do nothing short of transforming our neighborhood.

    Kennedy Heights Citizen of the Year

    The Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award is given to a Kennedy Heights resident whose service and dedication have made significant contribution to the neighborhood. Selection Criteria Individuals will be considered and the selection based on the following criteria:

    • The nominee must reside in Kennedy Heights.
    • The nominee must have made a significant contribution to improving the quality of life for the Kennedy Heights neighborhood.
    • The neighborhood's improvement must be made as a result of the nominee's personal commitment and not substantially as result of the nominee's employment or public responsibilities.
    • The nominee may not currently be on the Board of Trustees for the Kennedy Heights Community Council.
    • Nomination(s) should be made by submitting in writing a statement (see below) of the reasons why the individual being nominated is worthy of this special honor.
    • Consideration will not be limited to the nominee's significant achievements or contributions during the year immediately preceding the year of the award, but can be cumulative over a period of years in the community.

    Nomination forms are available on our webpage for anyone interested in nominating a candidate. Forms will also be available at the August meeting of the Kennedy Heights Community Council. The Nomination Form should be submitted either on-line, or in person at the August Community Council meeting to our President Natalie Boyer. Nominations must be submitted by September 1st.

    Upcoming meetings

    The Kennedy Heights Community Council is currently on summer break and the next regularly scheduled meeting will take place on August 21st at 7:30. The executive board meets throuough the summer months on the 3rd tuesday of the month at 6PM.
