    Community Council News

The Tuesday May 15th meeting of the Kennedy Heights Community Council will be a special one indeed.

Beginning at an earlier time - 6PM - we will be having a Town Hall meeting featuring both the Cincinnati Police Chief James Craig and Fire Chief Richard Braun.

Our two guests will give a breif presentation and then field questions from the audience. This will be an excellent time to learn more about those who protect us and the heads of their respective deparment.s

As the end of the Neighborhood Enhancement Program is drawing nearer, there will also be a brief update on the progress of the NEP.

Please pass the word about this important meeting and share this email with your neighbors.

    NEP Update

On April 21st., more than 200 volunteers from Kennedy Heights and across the city came together on a rainy day to help beautify our neighborhood as part of the Great American Cleanup.

Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory and other dignitaries were on hand to kick things off before volunteers fanned out throughout the community.

The corner of Kennedy and Woodford, the new Kennedy Heights Cultural Center, Kennedy Park, and the Green Corner were just some of the locations that saw work. The bridge over the railroad tracks received help both above and below as volunteers from Give Back Cincinnati helped replace the eggs on the bridge and cleaned up refuse on the tracks. GBC brought more than 100 volunteers and contributed at all of the locations.

The Great American Cleanup was one of several projects that occurred during the first months of the City of Cincinnati's Neighborhood Enhancement Program (NEP). The NEP has seen numerous city agencies working together to bring their resources to Kennedy Heights. Many Thanks to all involved in this neighborhood changing project!
