News of the day! - Welcome new subscribers! |
|
If you're a KH resident, we hope you've received the paper version of our newsletter via the post office. As always, Noel Morgan did a bang up job with this edition which is chock full of news - more than space allows here.
Unfortunately due to budget constraints, the Community Council is only able to mail out full newsletters a couple of times per year.
Never fear as our eNews (the one you're hopefully reading now) will continue on a monthly basis, and the full newsletters can still be viewed online at our website kennedyheights.org

Progressive Dinner Around the Corner |
|
It's time for the 28th Annual KHCC
Progressive Dinner! If you have never
been before, this is THE event not to miss
in Kennedy Heights! There will be dozens of your friends and neighbors spending a fun evening
sharing great food and entertainment.
We begin the evening together at 5:30
with appetizers & sips at the KH Arts
Center. When you arrive you will be
greeted with great food, music, and drinks
and register for the next stop which will be
dinner at a host family's home. Each host
family will have between 6-12 people at
their home for dinner. The small number
allows for great conversation and a
fantastic opportunity to get to know a few
people/neighbors a little better. After
dinner, everyone will get back together at
The Kennedy Heights Presbyterian
Church for homemade desserts and a
silent auction.
This is KHCC's biggest annual fundraiser
.
Tickets are $25 per person and includes appetizers, dinner, and dessert. The auction will include gift certificates, gift baskets, and much, much more!!!!
To donate a dessert, make a donation for the silent auction, reserve tickets or for more information on the event, contact Natalie Boyer at 731-5477 or [email protected].
- Tickets can also be purchased through any Board Member. or online at kennedyheights.org

Light refreshments will be provided ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Make A Difference Day is one of the nation's largest days of citizen volunteerism - a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. Everyone can participate. Created by USA WEEKEND Magazine, Make A Difference Day is an annual event that takes place on the fourth Saturday of every October.
This fall, Keep Cincinnati Beautiful will facilitate projects across the tri-state on Saturday, October 22, 2011. Last year, nearly 500 volunteers participated in community cleanup and beautification events at 24 locations. They bagged 13,580 pounds of litter, collected 7,155 pounds of un-bagged trash and debris (that's 10 tons!), pulled 135 tires out of 5 illegal dump sites, and cleaned 40 acres of public parks! Community members and corporate groups worked alongside each other to improve their neighborhoods and eliminate blight.
If you're interested in organizing a project, start by looking around your community to see what needs to be done. Projects can be large or small. Then, contact Alicia Kravtiz or call (513) 352-4386. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Community Police Partnering Center
