    Community Council Meets Tuesday Night

The Kennedy Heights Community Council will have its first meeting of the new year on Tuesday January 18th beginning at 7:30pm

Featured speaker will be Sharon Smith of RecycleBank to discuss the City of Cincinnati's new recycling initiative.

As always there will be lots of good information about our community and a great chance to meet your neighbors.

The meeting will take place at the Kennedy Heights Presbyterian Church on Kennedy Ave. and will be proceeded by the regular meeting of the executive board.

    Cincinnati Recycles!

Most Kennedy Heights residents have received their new recycling bins.

This begins a new initiative by the City of Cincinnati to increase its recycling efforts. The biggest immediate change is that recycled materials are now being picked up every other week rather than weekly.

If you can't make it to the Community Council meeting on Tuesday night to learn more about the new program, visit cincinnati-oh.gov/noncms/projects/recycling/ to find out about this exciting new program.

Additionaly citizens will be able to earn reward point through the recycle bank. Find out more about this program at recyclebank.com

Register Now for Innovative Art Programs for Youth 5-17
Winter is just the time to stretch your imagination and build up those creative muscles -- and the Kennedy Heights Arts Center is just the place!

Youth ages 3-18 will enjoy creating art with a variety of media including painting, drawing, sculpture and more, led by practicing artists. Our community-based approach promotes guided-discovery; that is, each child is encouraged to develop her or his individual expression through creative exploration.

Teen classes offer more focused exploration in two areas: drawing/painting with Cedric Cox or photography with Natalie Hager.

Classes are divided according to age group: Pre-school (3-5 yrs), K-3rd grade, 4-6th grade, and Jr/Sr High. The Winter/Spring term begins the week of January 10 and continues through April 30, 2011. A new theme explored each month, allowing students to register by the month or for the full term.

For more information and to register, visit our website or call 513-631-4278.
