    Giving Garden Open House

The Giving Garden is having an open house on October 16th at the Green Corner to kick off the Lifetime Founding Members Campaign.

    Who We Are
The Giving Garden is a newly established, non-profit organization located at 6523 Tyne Avenue, Kennedy Heights, Cincinnati, just a half block south of the Kennedy Heights Arts Center. We are in the process of reclaiming this parcel of land and we have ambitious plans to transform it into a beautiful garden with themed raised beds. Once the beds are installed, we will begin to offer a series of educational gardening classes.

For many years, the piece of wasteland at 6523 Tyne Avenue has been poorly used and has underserved the community. Today it is a vacant lot, strewn with litter and heavy construction rubble.

On February 1st 2009, three Kennedy Heights residents assembled and founded the Giving Garden. They shared a common vision of creating a natural setting within an urban environment that provides gardening, mentoring, and education in a tranquil atmosphere..

Martin Wagner, BJ Gardner, and Eric Bertelsen are the incorporating members and founding Board Members of the Giving Garden.

"Click" Photography Show Opens at KHAC

    • Event: Click II: The Photography Show
    • Location: Kennedy Heights Arts Center, 6546 Montgomery Road

Why it is wonderful: Engaging Art exhibit and fun atmosphere

Description: Click 6 is the sixth annual photograph exhibition featuring The American Society of Media Photographers on October 9, 2010 at the Kennedy Heights Arts Center. Professional members of the ASMP are challenged to create an original photograph with a specific item - "the toothpick". The goal is to examine the many different ways in which the chapter's members, including many of the Midwest's best-known photographers, explore their subject through interpretation. In addition, Click 6 includes a juried show, "Pick the Best", with a number of special awards presented. The exhibit runs through November 13.
