We're still looking for a driver and adult helper for the Kennedy Heights entry in the Mayor's Cup Soapbox Derby.

The derby draws racers ages 8 to 60 from all over the tri state area for one fun Saturday in June. The ultimate goal of the Mayor's Cup is to have all 52 neighborhoods participating with the top community council's taking home large cash prizes. Last year the winning community council received $5,000. This is a fun, family friendly event that brings individuals from a community together.

To participate a neighborhood must find a driver between the ages of 8-13 that lives in the neighborhood and they must have an approved soapbox derby car. The race will be held June 19th and the registration fee is $50. Please mention the derby at your April community council meetings.
