Farmers Market at the Green Corner

After a very successful Farmers' Market last week and with glorious weather, the Green Corner Studios and Marketplace is delighted to welcome back Jim and Patti Schwartz at this Saturday's Farmers' Market on March 14th 2009 from 10:00a.m. until 1:00p.m.

    This Week's Goodies
Last week, Patty's baked goods sold out before noon, so if you want to enjoy her sourdough biscuits, Amish Friendship bread or homemade cookies, plan to get to market on the early side.

    Parking
With so many people stopping at the market last week, parking became a little challenging at times. This week we are pleased to offer you additional parking at the Kennedy Heights Arts Center (KHAC) just a block north and on the same side of the street as the Green Corner.

If you want to make a difference in your community and find ways you can get involved with the Farmers' Market or other new projects at the Green Corner, please contact Richard J. Cooke at the Green Corner Studios and Marketplace.
    Telephone: (513) 910-9875.

    Congratulations
A Kennedy Heights resident, P.Jeane Goings was honored by the Cincinnati Enquirer as one of their Women of the year.

Goings has tirelessly given her time to dozens of Cincinnati non-profits including The Wellness Community of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, YWCA, League of Women Voters, Urban League, NAACP, Charter Party, Mental Health Northwest, and the Interfaith Hospitality Network providing shelter and food to the homeless. Sometimes she has served in an official capacity, such as YWCA president (1995-98). Most of the time, she's very comfortable making things happen behind the scenes.
