Volunteer Opportunities The art
center is growing and we need to add
an office. Our old kitchen has been torn out
to make room for a new office-the only
set-back is finding a volunteer or volunteers
to rehab this room. Tasks include: hanging
and finishing dry wall and painting.
Winterfest Workers
Volunteers are needed to help with Winterfest
2007 on Friday, December 7th. Come and be a
part of this fun filled family event!
Volunteer opportunities include: food
servers, children's craft assistants,
carriage ride attendants, greeters and
hospitality workers. Service hours are
available.
To learn more about these volunteer job
opportunities, contact
Ilene Hayes at 631-4278 or email

KH Youth Visit Freedom Center Special
Thanks to the Underground Railroad Freedom
Center for allowing an excellent outing for
our Youth.
In October 10 young KH
residents were
the guests of the Freedom Center. The
museum tour, organized by KHCC Board
member Kathy Tyler, impressed the kids
with a better sense of
history. ---------------------------------------------------------------
KH Pre-Schooler to Perform with
Moscow Ballet Next Saturday is a big day
for little Anye Milan Shabazz of Kennedy
Heights, a pre-schooler at TCP World Academy.
Anye will be performing in the Nutcracker
with the world renowned Moscow Ballet.
Thanks to Tatyana Makarova, founder of the
Cincinnati Dance Academy, Anye was encouraged
to try out for the Moscow Ballet's
performance in Cincinnati.
The Cincinnati Dance Academy provides a
creative home for young bodies, minds and
spirits. Ms. Makarova's experience guiding
young dancers from the first steps to stage
premieres has helped make the Academy one of
the best schools in Cincinnati.
The Moscow Ballet casts children ages seven
to young teens from across the country for
its Great Russian Nutcracker U.S. Tour. Anye
nailed her audition and was selected to
perform in not one, but two scenes.
The Moscow Ballet will have a single
performance of the Nutcracker
on Nov. 24th at 3:00 p.m. at the Taft Theater.
