    Kennedy Heights Night Out

    What better way to spend a splendid summer evening than with your neighbors?

    The Kennedy Heights Night Out series is just the ticket. These fun events sponsored by our CPOP team give folks from around the community a chance to enjoy good food and drink and plenty of social time. There are lots of fun things for the kids as well.

    The next event will take place on Saturday, July 12 from 6-8 pm at the Kennedy Heights Presbyterian Church parking lot on the corner of Kennedy and Zinsle

    Litter Magic Returns

    Come join us on July 28, 9 - 11 am at the Kennedy Heights Presbyterian church for the next Litter Magic Clean Up. This time, KH residents will be cleaning up the Kennedy/Montgomery area.

    As always, refreshments will be enjoyed following the clean-up, and as a bonus there will be free T-shirts to new volunteers.

    Kennedy Heights Arts Center News

    The Kennedy Heights Arts Center is delighted to announce its current exhibition entitled "Aqua," a unique display fully dedicated to artwork based on the beautiful theme of "water". The Arts Center is privileged to exhibit the work from over 30 talented artists who have been able to capture the essence of this theme in diverse and imaginative ways. The exhibition will include art forms in a variety of different media -including sculpture, photography, painting, pottery, glass and other forms of expression.

    Aqua will be open to the public at the Kennedy Heights Arts Center through August 25, 2007 on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. For more information about Aqua at the Kennedy Heights Arts Center, please call 513-631-4278, or vist their website kennedyarts.org

    Everybody's Backyard Picnic Concert

    The Cincinnati Park Board presents the KH stop in a series of summer events at our beautiful Drake Park.

    The Everybody's Backyard Picnic series was created by the Park Board in 2003 as a way to get the community to come out and enjoy their neighborhood park.

    This year's event takes place Thursday, July 12, 2007 from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Drake Park which is located at 5800 Red Bank Road

    Everybody's Backyard Picnic features food entertainment and more. For more information, contact the Park Board at 352-4080 until 5:00 p.m.

    Neighborhood Notes

    It's a little early to be thinking about back to school, however the Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church will be having its second annual "Back To School Bash" at the Church located at 6601 Montgomery Road on Saturday, August 11, 2007 from 4-7 p.m. There will be fun, food, singing, entertainment, and prizes and surprises!"

    It's never too early to begin making plans for the annual Kennedy Heights Progressive Dinner and Silent Auction. This year's event takes place on Saturday, September 15th. For information about the event, contact Natalie Boyer

    Ballet Tech

    So you think you can dance? Our friends at Ballet Tech have a full slate of summer classes, including:

    • Youth Ballet | Tuesdays 5:30 - 6:30
    • Adult Ballet | Tuesdays 6:30 -8 PM
    • Hip Hop - all ages | Wednesdays 7-8 PM
    • Movement Discovery | Thursdays 10:45 -11:30 AM
    • Teen Dance Club | Thursdays 4-5 PM
    • Salsa | Thursdays 7-8 PM

    PLEASE NOTE:The next issue of our paper newsletter will be not be published until the second half of August, and that the deadline for submitting information is August 1.

    Barring an emergency the Community Council will be on Summer Break . The Next scheduled meeting will take place in September
