Greetings! Consider this our Summer Travel issue. The first three articles provide important tips on saving money and time as you drive around West Michigan and beyond. We follow those useful tips with a humorous article about men, women, and cars that's just plain fun to read. Thank you for trusting Prestige Imports to find and service your vehicles.
Joe Licari, Owner P.S. See the bottom of this newsletter for two money saving coupons. We're extending the expiration date for our newsletter readers.
We've noticed another web site that monitors gas prices. Just type the zip code where you live or work and you'll get a map with stations numbered in order of price. The lowest price is shown by a green pump and the highest by a red pump. Unlike web sites that rely on consumers to submit data, this site gets price information through actual credit card transactions collected from Fleet Vehicles. It's still not instantaneous; but it can help you find nearby stations that are most likely to have lower prices.
Here's a service by AAA that tracks highway construction zones throughout Michigan. The listings are divided into regions, so choose West to get a list of road construction projects and dates in West Michigan.
If you're going to be renting a car this summer, here are some important things to consider before you make your reservation.
What do women think about the cars men drive? In this article a dating expert says a man's vehicle sends messages about his character that women immediately pick up on. Given five popular vehicles often driven by men, she creates a profile that represents each vehicle's personality traits. Then she describes the type of women attracted by that vehicle. Is this just stereotyping? Or do her descriptions fit anyone you know?
Our featured car this month is a 2004 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT GLX 4 MOTION, ALL WHEEL DRIVE. When it was new, the editors of Edmunds.com voted this car the Most Wanted Sedan Under $25,000. And 164 owners have given it an average rating of 8.6 on a 10-point scale. Edmunds Editor: "The Passat's German heritage is obvious on all fronts - it's both fun to drive and smooth-riding on the highway. Inside, the Passat offers high-quality materials and an upscale feel other sedans in this class are lacking." This extremely clean specimen has just 45,000 miles. It has heated seats, power seats, keyless entry, and a power sunroof. It's a great, safe year round vehicle. The car has a clean CarFax and service is all up to date. You get the remainder of the factory warranty and an extended warranty is available up to 100,000 miles. Call Joe or Phil Licari to arrange a test drive or just come in. Priced at $16,900.
If you had a vehicle serviced at Prestige Imports or came in to shop for a car, we need your feedback. Please visit the survey section of our web site and take a two-minute survey.
