Greetings! As the temperatures get warmer, more people shop for cars. Buying low-mileage, pre-owned imports has always been a smart strategy. But with today's uncertain economy it makes more sense than ever. Among the articles in this month's issue, you'll learn "Who makes the best cars?" and "How to shop for a used car."
We've also included TWO FREE Service
Inspections for our loyal newsletter readers. Just
scroll to the bottom of this message. Then call for an
appointment to take us up on either or both
offers.

The April issue of Consumer Reports always focuses on cars. In addition to reviewing the 2008 models, it provides a wealth of information for anyone deciding which used cars to consider. One interesting article on "Who Makes the Best Cars?" has Automaker Report Cards based on test scores and reliability. Read our brief summary for their list of the Top Ten Automakers. Except for a few exotic or collectible cars, virtually all of the cars we sell come from these top ten companies.
As a AAA-Approved Auto Repair Facility, we're not surprised when good automotive tips come from AAA. Their recent article on "Shopping for a Used Car" includes two good lists: 1. The first list covers things to check before you drive the car. 2. The second list tells you how to test the car when you're on the road.
This year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas had a heavy automotive slant. Want to see the hottest new in-car gadgets and technology? This article from Edmunds.com includes links to many of the key new products.
The Michigan legislature has passed bills to create an optional enhanced driver's license that would be acceptable identification at America's borders. This is good news for people who travel to Canada but don't want to incur the expense or hassle of getting a passport. Read the announcement recently added to the Secretary of State web site.
The Mini Cooper is one of the most fun cars you can own. Plus, it gets about 35 MPG on the highway, which minimizes the cost of your fun. Prestige Imports has all the equipment and know-how needed to diagnose, service, and repair Mini Coopers. And now we have a 2006 MINI COOPER S on our lot. This is the rare S automatic with paddle shifting. The car is fully loaded with heated full-leather seats, power sunroof, and keyless entry. It's a one-owner car in excellent shape with a clean car fax. The service is all up to date. And with only 30,000 miles, you're protected by the remainder of the factory warranty. An extended warranty is available up to 100,000 miles. Call Joe or Phil Licari to arrange a test drive or just come in.
With talk of recession and the troubled Michigan economy, here's an opportunity for you and your friends to save significant money. I'm talking about our Referral Program. If you're happy with Prestige Imports, you can honestly and enthusiastically tell your import-driving friends about us. They save 10% on their first visit and you earn a matching credit toward your own service work.
Don't wait until the subject comes up. Make a list of
everyone you know that drives an import and call
them now.
If you had a vehicle serviced at Prestige Imports or came in to shop for a car, we need your feedback. Please visit the survey section of our web site and take a two-minute survey.
