Sign up NOW for The "New Year, New You" Fitness Challenge!
Once again, Razor Sharp Fitness is helping you
create a "New You" in the New Year by motivating you
to take your health and wellness to the next level in
2010! For 12 weeks, starting January 25th through
April 18th, we will be conducting our Second
Annual "NEW YEAR, NEW YOU" Fitness Challenge!
The goal of this self-improvement challenge is to
improve your overall well-being, inside and out, not
just by losing weight.
Each day, registered members can earn points by
completing various activities to improve their health
and wellness. Registered members will report their
points to the front desk upon exiting the club each
visit. Points will be tallied and tracked daily.
Prizes will be awarded based on total number of
points earned accumulatively for the 12 weeks.
Pre-challenge measurements will be taken
throughout the week of
January 18th by the personal trainers and Suzanne
Williamson, RN and wellness
consultant with post-challenge measurements
acquired the week of April 19th.
Body fat percentage, weight, and circumference
measurements will all be taken
so that you may track your physical transformation.
These measurements are for
your personal informational use only and are not
used
for awarding prizes.
All participants will not only receive their pre-
measurements and postmeasurements,
but everyone will also receive a fitness challenge t-
shirt! All
participants earning over 500 points will be entered
into a drawing to win one of
two FREE 6 MONTH INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIPS and
the top ten overall point
earners will be given an awesome prize (more
depending on number of
participants)! The cost to participate is $30.
The sign-up sheets for the pre-challenge
measurements and
contest registration are now available at the front
desk. Reserve your time slot today!

I Want to Save a Life! |

Inclement Weather Policy

It is very rare that we decide to close our doors due to
heavy snowfalls. Should it happen however, we will
send out an e-mail to make you aware, and we will
also post on our website. If you do not have computer
access at the time you would like to know, simply call
the club to find out. Keep in mind that we cannot
change the outgoing voicemail message off-site, so
call until someone answers. If no one answers, then
we
are closed.
Please know that we make every effort to remain
open,
but if we feel like the safety of our employees and
members is at all compromised, we will close the
club accordingly.

Thank You for Helping our Community

From all of us here at Razor Sharp, we would like to
extend a big thank you to all those who donated to
our food and coat drive last month. Due to its
success we have decided make both drives an
annual event!
With your help and generosity we collected
3,522
food items, 92 coats, 3 pairs of boots and a
bag of gloves and hats! Great job!

Acupuncture Can Help You Sleep

Sleep is a very important aspect of good health. It is
the body's time to "recharge its batteries." If you have
poor sleep habits you will be more likely to get sick,
get stressed out, or acquire other, more serious
issues. Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine can have
some immediate and lasting results on sleep
whether it is trouble falling asleep, trouble staying
asleep, not feeling rested upon waking, or even sleep
disorders like insomnia, sleep walking, etc.
Just like any condition, Oriental Medicine treats the
individual and his or her specific cause of the sleep
problem or disorder. This means that your treatment
will be uniquely tailored to you.
In order to determine the best treatment for you we
will ask you a series of questions. We then combine
your
responses with your pulse and tongue
diagnosis. This will give us the information we need
to
diagnose the cause of your sleep issue and therefore
decide
on the best possible treatment.
Possible treatments include any combination of
acupuncture, accessory techniques, Tui Na
massage, Chinese herbs, and nutrition. Make an
appointment with Kelly or Juanita today so you can
start to sleep easy tonight!
