Great News for Jersey Divers! Water temperatures are around 60 degrees with nice visability. Diving feels like we are in August. The Fluke are in, Sea Bass have been big, and a good number of lobster are being bagged. Don't forget about Lang's Wednesday night dives on the Blue Fathom. This past Wednesday's full charter provided excellent conditions. Calm seas & a good wreck. Remember, It Just Keeps Getting Better from here. Stop by Lang's and book your spot for a great Jersey boat dive. Lang's Dive Boat Schedule~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
No one should be allowed to have as much Fun as the Lang's group had on our trip to the Florida Keys at Amoray Dive Resort. June seems to consistently be a great time to dive the Keys. There are always plenty of fish on super reef locations. Our deep dive on Friday went to the Spiegel Grove. Visability was almost 100 ft. As we descended to one of the crane towers on the wreck, we found "Mr. Big". A Grouper that was about SIX feet long with a girth that I think put him in the 500 lb range. After exploring the wreck, "Mr. Big" was in the same place for us to catch one more glimpse as we headed up the line.
A side trip to Key West was on the Sunday night social agenda & we went for a Air Boat Tour through the Everglades on Monday morning.
Mark your calendar NOW, for your trip to the Florida Keys with Lang's for next June.
Happy Diving,

Dive Tip of the Month-Breathe Deeply
Any Oxygen taken from your tank but not absorbed is wasted. That's the case with short shallow breaths. Inhale deeply to have the fresh air fill your lungs completely. A deeper breath brings the air to the place in your lungs where the gas exchange takes place (in the alveoli). When the alveoli are more fully inflated with fresh air, gas exchange is more efficient; More oxygen is extracted from incoming air and more carbon dioxide is released. Although deep breaths use more air, you will take fewer breaths. The net result is fewer breaths will use less air.
To complement your deep inhalation, exhale fully to expel as muck carbon dioxide as possible. Anything not exhaled is dead air, causing the urge to take your next breath sooner triggered by lack of oxygen in that breath. So - a complete exhale extends time before you feel the need for another breath.

Time for some new gear?
Why not trade-in your old gear?
We are always looking for used gear. Bring in that old BCD for the latest in Weight Integrated System. Regulators, Tanks - their all worth $$$ towards new equipment. We also buy Used Gear - Not diving any more?
