Lang's trip to Bonaire was FAANTASTIC!! The Divi Flamingo was a great location. Diving has enough for all. In fact some were doing 3 boat dives and a night dive each day. Town was only a short 10 minute walk away for a group that had a lot of fun together. Diving, dining, & riding scooters offered comradery for all. The dive photos were posted to Lang's Photo Gallery on the Website. Don't forget to send us you pictures as well. Then keep you calendar open for Belize next year.
 
            Summer Jersey diving will be starting this week with Lang's Wednesday night dives aboard the Blue Fathom. Early June reports have had visibility reports in the 30 - 40 ft range. Water temperatures are warming - So now is the time to check out Lang's Boat Dive Schedule  and get your name in the Book. Weekend dives usually fill about 2 weeks in advance and the Wednesday night Dives run through September.
 
May 30th  was "Pig Roast Day" at Dutch Springs. A large number of divers took advantage of another FUN time. Some had 2 dives in before lunch. The 120lb porker was enough for all that joined us. After the bergers & dogs were gone some divers went for an afternoon dive as well. Congratulations to all those that completed Open Water, Advanced and the specialty courses Lang's arranged for that weekend.  Photos
 
Divers going with Lang's to the Florida Keys leave in about 2 weeks.. Anticipating nice weather the group is looking forward to checking out the Speigle Grove and soaking up some Florida sunshine. For those that just couldn't pull the trigger in the Florida trip, keep October 3oth through November 1st to join Lang's in the Bahamas!!

Dive Tip of the Month - Use Less Air
Stay Warm
Even Caribbean water can make you cold. Being immersed in water less than 95 degrees will begin to cool you. Water takes heat out of your body at a surprising rate. Heat is energy that has to be replaced by metabolism, using oxygen to make it. (so when you are cold - you will breathe more rapidly) Prevent heat loss with proper insulation when diving. Jersey divers need full 7mm wetsuit or drysuits. Even 80 degree water make you use more air if you don't have insulation. In warm waters a 3mm wetsuit is recommended.
Getting cold also creates mental stress. The stress then increases you breating rate, often without you noticing it. So - insulate properly and ENJOY the DIVE.
