As the weather warms, it's a sign to bring the gear in for annual service. Many of you have already done that, but if your gear is still behind the snow shovels in the garage, dust it off and get ready to dive. There is still time to drop it off at Lang's in May for a quick turn around.
 
Check out Lang's Boat Dive Lang's Boat Dive schedule for 2009. There are some great wrecks to hit. Bookings for dives are ahead of last season. Only a couple spots remain for some of the more interesting wreck sites. Take a look at your calendar and plan your diving with Lang's. Call us or stop in to put your name in the dive book.
 
The one tank Wednesday night dives were a big hit last season, with divers filling the boat on every Wednesday. This is perfect to get your PADI "Night Diver Specialty" course completed.  A midweek jump in the ocean is just what is needed to break up the work week.

Dive Tip of the Month - Use Less Air
UPGRADE YOUR GEAR
Overhaul your regulator on schedule and consider a new regulator, one with lower work of breathing.  Those divers going deeper depths should especially consider this advantage.  ScubaLab tests have shown that the work of breathing damaged by some regulators can be three times as much as others, even more.  A "hardbreathing" regulator not only demands more energy and more oxygen just to operate it, your difficulty breathing through that regulator increases your anxiety level which, in turn, elevates your breathing rate.  So it wastes gas in two ways.
